In this webinar, The Fire Protection Association will examine if the changing legislative framework in UK has done enough to prevent a similar fire to the Grenfell Tower incident occurring again.   (It will not cover the Grenfell Tower fire incident itself in detail.) 

This webinar will develop understanding of the main legislative changes within construction in the last 6 years with the intention of preventing large-scale fires in buildings leading to significant loss of life. Delegates will gain an awareness of the key factors which can contribute to large fires and how the UK is planning to mitigate them. Specifically the webinar will examine: Have sufficient changes been implemented to encourage a culture of safety for both residents/users and buildings? 

Are there clear responsibilities and competencies now defined for all of those involved in a building’s fire safety management?  And finally, what does the future look like in terms of testing and the safety of materials used in construction? The webinar will be presented by Chris Miles, FPA Commercial Director and will be worth one CPD point towards Registered Professional status.
